Sacred Heart Sodality Pilgrimage PDF Print E-mail

Thousands of Pilgrims from around the country as well Swaziland have gathered at Centocow Mission in Umzimkulu Diocese in KZN at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Sodality on 11th of June 2010. In the unity with the priests gathered at St Peter Basilic in Rome at the closing celebration of the Year for Priests the pilgrims prayed for all the priests, especially remembering the priests whom they met in their lives. The Theme of the Pilgrimage was: "Do unto others as I done to you" (Jn 13:15) recalling the words of Jesus to his Apostles after washing their feet at the Last Supper.








St Theresa Relics visit Umzimkulu Diocese, South Africa PDF Print E-mail

The Relics of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux - of the Child Jesus
- came to South Africa, on 25th June and started to visit different communities till end of September 2010 - starting from Archdiocese of Johannesburg.

The Relics of the Saint will also visit our Umzimkulu Diocese
from 29th of July till 2nd of August 2010.
The first part of celebration will be at Christ the King Church in Port Shepstone on 29-31 July. Then from noon of 31 July till 2 August the Relics will be venerated at Our Lady of Sorows Church in Umzimkulu.  On 2nd of August the Relics will be transfered to Capuchin Convent at Melville.
