The Catholic Church of St Martin Parish in Gamalakhe under the pastoral leadership of Fr. Ndabenhle Leonard Mncwabe CMM has celebrated the National Police Day on 29 of January 2012 with great participation of the Police Men and Women from Margate Police Station with its satelite stations in Gamalakhe, Paddock, Port Edward, Izingolweni as well with many representatives from Port Shepstone Police Station. There were three presentationons on the relevant topics: Social Crime - by Captain Zondo from Gamalakhe, Drugs and Substance Abuse - by Captain Cele from Port Shepstone and Child and Female Abuse - presented by Captain Mzila from Port Shepstone. The Day began with Holy Mass in which a good number of Police Officers were in attendance. At the end of the Mass we began with the program for the speeches. This was concluded by the issuing of Certificates of Appreciation presented by the Church to all the local Police Stations. These Certificates contained a message of appreciation and support to the work of the Police. Formal Lunch was served for all the Police in our Hall. This was also our gesture of appreciation and the way for establishing contact with those who serve and protect our communities. May God Bless them ALL. Follow the link to photo gallery - click here
