The Faithfull together with the bishop, priests and religious have celebrated the World Day of the Sick in the Lourdes Mission on the Feast of our Lady of Lourdes - the Patroness of the parish and the diocese of Umzimkulu. There were present many nurses and hospital staff from different hospitals of our diocese who have initiated the associotiation of those who are serving in the hospitals and other medical institutions. The celebration was fulfilling the encouragement of the Holy Father Benedict XVI in his letter for the Day, where he pointed out to the Healing Sacraments - of Confession, Anointing of the Sick and the Holy Eucharist. The participants have experienced the healing power of sacraments through forgiveness of sins, healing of the body and spirit and strenghtening with the Bread of Life. The faithful have received the individual Blessing with the Holy Sacrament.
