Soldiers of Christ the King landed in Nyandezulu PDF Print E-mail

On 22nd March 2015 - Nyandezulu (St. Charles) outstation of Christ the King Parish in Umzimkulu Diocese - received for the first time 10 members of Soldiers of Christ the King Association (Association of Children and Youth). Sr. Staff Dlamini LSMI has had prepared these children so well for the celebration. Fr. Mbekezeli Albony Zamisa - the Chaplain of Missionary Children Association (Holy Childhood) and of the Soldiers of Christ the King in the diocese received them with warm heart and sent them to be the witnesses of Jesus in their communities especially among children. There were also 10 members and 2 animators of the Association from Mahobe Mission with Sister Zithobile Zondi and from Port Shepstone Convent Sr. Patricia Mlambo and Sr. NomvelisoMbanjwa of Little Servants of Mary Immaculate Congregation as well Fr. Catechumens' Election Rite in Lourdes Cathedral PDF Print E-mail

The Catechumens of Northern Deanery have gathered together with their sponsors and catechists in Lourdes Cathedral filled with the faithful to be elected for the Sacraments of Christian Inistiation that will be administered on Holy Saturday Vigil Celebration. Bishop Stanislaw Dziuba OSPPE together with Fr. Siyabonga Magcaba, Fr Michal Wojciechowski and Diocesan Catechetical Team and Community welcomed the new members of the Church. I .....renew my commitment to follow Christ more closely by my vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience. I resolve to unite myself more closely to Christ, to strive to become more like Him in order to bring His peace and love to my brothers and sisters. So help me God. Amen.

Catholic School Office - Prayer Breakfast PDF Print E-mail

The Catholic School Office in KZN has organised the Prayer Breakfast in Glenmore Centre on 20 Feb. 2015 for all involved in the Catholic Education in the region. The Theme: "Educating together in a Catholic School" was as well the recalling and appreciating the great contribution of Religious Congregations in the field of Education as we are celebrating the Year dedicated to Consecrated Life. Different speakers raised various aspects and challenges of the education and formation of the young generation in the past as well in present time. The outlines: reflecting on the Word of God; Jer 1:6-8, Lk 14:25-33 as well beautiful and inspiring singing by Kurt and Alesha Holmes. The speakers: Fr Sylvester David, OMI on "The Gift of Consecrated Life", address by Anita Kriel - Clinical Psychologist on the woundedness of our children and the need for counseling skills for Educators, Bishop Barry Wood on "The Year Dedicated to Consecrated Life", Fr. Brett Williams on "The Role of the Chaplains in a Catholic School", as well sharing of experiences by: Mrs Colleen Hoover, Fr. Cas Paulesen CMM and Fr Lindani Madela. There were present as well Cardinal Wilfrid Napier OFM, Bishop Pius Mlungisi Dlungwane and Bishop Stanislaw Dziuba, OSPPE. Some more photos: Part 1   Part 2   Part 3

Our Lady of Lourdes Pilgrimage PDF Print E-mail

I would like to express my gratitude to all Pilgrims who participated in the Celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on 14-15 Feb. - especially to the Sodality of Mary and to the Youth of our Umzimkulu Diocese. Special words of appreciation I address to the Diocesan Youth Choir, coordinated by Sr. Sizakele Mbeje CPS - to all conductors, organists and all members of this wonderful choir. You showed your commitment and skills in bringing people closer to Jesus and his Mother Mary. May Jesus, our Saviour continue to Bless you All.
